In this lecture, the professor explained the types of renewable energy, especailly sun and wind in more detail. Before discussion of that, they thought why we continue to use fuel and nuclear power when renewable sources exist. The one reason is that renewable sources aren't easy to use and another reason is dependence on weather. For example, Greece is one country that uses a lot of solar panels. som parts of Grees don't get enough sun since the sun not always shines in Greece. solar panels can't collect energy on couldy or rainy days. So sunlight isn't always the most efficient means of generating power.The other example is windmills. That is different from the sunlight because wind turbines for energy are used in farms, electric companies and even factories. In these area, there are windy. That is the advantage of wind turbines. These manchines are able to produce energy as long as there is wind. However, the professor feels the wind turbines are ugly. So, the disadvantage of using turbines is a source of visual pollution.
