TOEFL - Writing 4주차

 

 

In the given set of materials, the reading passage and the lecture deal with Hohokam civilization disintegration

The author of the reading assumes that there are several satisfactory explanations of rapid disintegration by anthropologists, whereas the lecture aruges against it by providing three compelling rebuttals.

 

Paragraph Two (Body1)

1. First of all, the professor points out that the the severe floods are not reason of relocaing Hohokam people.

2. It is mentioned that floods were common phenomenon. And .....

3. It challenges the point made in the rading passage that devastating floods force the Hohokam people to relocate.

 

Paragraph Three (Body2)

4. Seondly, the professor states that diseases is not the reason of collapse of Hohokam civilization.

5. He elaborates on this by mentioning that 

6. This is opposition to the reading passage which states that a extreme epidemic lead to collapsed HoHokam society.

 

Paragraph Four (Body3)

7. Finally, the lecturer, on the other hand, argues that there is no evidence of rebel.

9. This refutes the reading passage, which states that internal conflict disintegrate Hohokam civilization.
